NFC technology evolved from a combination of contactless identification and interconnection technologies. It combines the functions of a contactless reader, a contactless card and peer-to-peer communication. Near Field Communication (NFC) is a standards-based, short-range (a few centimeters) wireless connectivity technology that enables simple and safe two-way interactions among electronic devices, allowing consumers to perform contactless transactions, access digital content and connect electronic devices with a single touch.

Developed a system and application to allow user’s RFID-enabled mobile phones based on NFC Technology to pick up data from RFID tags embedded in brochures, catalogues and pamphlets. |
 |
Allows user to initiate purchases on the go while browsing through catalogue or brochure. |

Enables secure transactions by mapping user’s credit card data to a MIFARE RFID tag that is read by the mobile device for authentication which works on the concept of NFC Technology. |
